The Cube
Enabling young people with disabilities to
make informed individual choices
The Cube is the new and innovative flagship programme which aims to improve access to social and recreational services for young people with disabilities in Auckland. The Cube partners have been working together to create a shared vision, a plan for service development and an agreement to work together, in a collaborative partnership model. The Cube, being a new model of support, will enable young people with disabilities to make informed individual choices, improving their life prospects.
The CUBE is a hub of Youth Disability service providers who have come together to coordinate and co-operate on improving access to service for young people with disabilities. PHAB is a lead partner in this project which has developed a collaborative partnership between services providing a forum to support service innovation and development and enabling young people to make more informed individual choices and connect to their local community and services. The CUBE as a model of youth services working together has been awarded the ASB Community Trust 3 year Youth Development Fund. We will continue to expand our service and support other smaller organisations which will be more viable through the CUBE.
